Prices, currency and booking channels
Direct bookings with Remjeng Retreat are charged in Swedish kronor, SEK. Any prices shown in EUR, NOK or another currency are approximate conversions. The final amount in the guest’s own currency may vary depending on the applicable exchange rate and the terms of the guest’s bank or card issuer.
Prices, offers, extras and payment or cancellation terms may differ between direct bookings and external booking platforms. Always check the total price, what is included and the terms in the channel where you book. Details for your specific booking should appear in the booking process and confirmation.
External platforms may apply their own fees and currency conversions, which Remjeng Retreat does not control. If prices differ or appear incorrect, contact us or the relevant platform before booking so the details can be checked. This does not limit your rights under mandatory law.
The advantage of booking directly
Book directly with us for our current direct price and personal contact before your stay. A direct booking may offer a lower total price than booking through external platforms. Contact us before booking for a price for your dates and arrangements.
Holiday accommodation & longer stays
These terms apply to private holiday bookings and longer stays at Remjeng Retreat. Group, event and retreat bookings are subject to separate booking terms.
Booking and payment
Once the booking has been confirmed, 25% of the total booking amount is non-refundable if the guest cancels.
You may pay the full amount when booking or choose to pay 25% when booking and the remaining 75% no later than 70 days before arrival. The final payment date is stated in the booking confirmation.
If final payment has not been received by the stated payment date, the booking will be cancelled. The 25% already paid will not be refunded.
For bookings made 70 days or less before arrival, the full booking amount must be paid when booking.
Cancellation
For cancellations more than 70 days before arrival, 25% of the total booking amount is non-refundable. Any amount paid above this will be refunded.
For cancellations 70 days or less before arrival, the full booking amount is non-refundable.
No refund is given for a no-show or early departure.
We recommend that guests have travel and cancellation insurance providing suitable cover for illness or other unforeseen events.
Why we have this cancellation policy
Remjeng Retreat is a small, privately run property with a limited number of available dates each season. When a booking is confirmed, the dates are reserved exclusively for the guest, and we may need to decline other accommodation, retreat or event enquiries for the same period.
This is why our cancellation policy is stricter than that of some larger accommodation providers. Thank you for understanding and for supporting a small, independent business.
Group, event and retreat bookings
Sections 1–21 below apply to group, event and retreat bookings. Private holiday bookings and longer stays follow the payment and cancellation rules in the Holiday accommodation & longer stays section.
1. Booking and lead guest
The person making the booking must be at least 20 years old and is responsible for the booking towards Remjeng Retreat. This person is the group’s main contact and must ensure that relevant information and house and safety rules reach participants, day guests and external suppliers.
Clear adult responsibility is required for children and activities involving swimming, fire and the sauna.
2. Guest numbers and capacity
When booking, state the expected number of participants and the maximum number covered by the booking, including overnight and day guests. The booking and price are based on the confirmed arrangements and reserved capacity. A smaller group therefore does not automatically mean a lower price.
Confirm the current number of overnight and day guests no later than 30 days before arrival. Numbers must not exceed the confirmed maximum without written approval.
- Groups of up to and including 20 people may book directly, depending on arrangements and availability.
- Groups of 21–40 book through a personal enquiry and assessment of their plans.
- Groups of 41–50 require a specific enquiry and individual assessment. Normal maximum event capacity is 40 people.
- A maximum of 25 people may stay overnight on the estate.
3. Payment
Groups & Events – direct bookings and quotations
Groups & Events has two payment options: 25% of the confirmed total price when booking and the remaining 75% by the final payment date, or the full amount when booking. The initial 25% is the booking payment and forms part of the total price. Dates are definitively reserved once payment has been received and Remjeng Retreat has confirmed the booking.
The final payment date is four calendar months before arrival and is specified in the booking confirmation. Payment must reach Remjeng Retreat by 23:59 Swedish local time on that date. Bookings made on or after the final payment date must be paid in full when booking. Paying in full in advance does not change the cancellation terms.
Failure to make final payment
If the initial 25% has been paid but the remaining 75% has not been received on time, the booking ends automatically on the day after the final payment date. The dates are no longer reserved and may be offered to other guests. Remjeng Retreat retains the 25% booking payment and does not claim the remaining 75%. This is the special rule for non-payment, rather than cancellation of a fully paid booking under section 4.
A payment received after the booking has ended does not automatically reinstate it. A continued booking requires written confirmation from Remjeng Retreat. If the booking is not reinstated, the late payment is refunded. The security deposit is handled separately under section 5.
Other direct bookings
For direct bookings outside Groups & Events, the payment arrangements expressly displayed and confirmed for that booking apply.
4. Cancellation
When the guest cancels Groups & Events, the following cancellation charges apply to the confirmed total price. Cancellation may be sent in writing so its timing is documented. The initial 25% booking payment is included in the cancellation charge and is not added on top. If the booking has been paid in full, any payment exceeding the cancellation charge is refunded. The same cancellation schedule applies whether the full amount was paid when booking or as 25% followed by the remaining 75%.
- No later than four calendar months before arrival: Remjeng Retreat retains 25%; 75% of the total price is refunded if already paid.
- After the four-month boundary, up to and including two calendar months before arrival: Remjeng Retreat retains 50%; 50% is refunded if already paid.
- After the two-month boundary, up to and including one calendar month before arrival: Remjeng Retreat retains 75%; 25% is refunded if already paid.
- After the one-month boundary: no refund of the booking price.
If the same dates and equivalent capacity are booked again, Remjeng Retreat may reduce the cancellation charge to the extent that the replacement booking actually reduces the financial loss from the cancelled booking. Direct costs and administration relating to the original booking may still be taken into account. The 25% booking payment is not refunded when the guest cancels. A replacement booking of lower value or smaller scope does not automatically entitle the guest to a further refund.
For other direct bookings, the cancellation terms expressly displayed and confirmed for that booking apply. If Remjeng Retreat itself cannot fulfil the booking, the guest cancellation charge and the rule retaining the booking payment do not apply.
Guests are advised to check cancellation cover under their home, travel or payment-card insurance. Companies and organisers are advised to arrange suitable insurance.
5. Security deposit
A refundable security deposit applies to Groups & Events and the Whole Estate. It is security, not a fee that Remjeng Retreat automatically retains.
The security deposit is SEK 5,000 for all approved group sizes.
The deposit must be paid or authorised no later than seven days before arrival, or as stated in the booking confirmation. The booked areas and equipment are checked after departure. If everything is in the agreed condition, the deposit is refunded within seven banking days.
Only reasonable, documented actual costs are deducted. These may include damage, missing items, broken glass or crockery, extra cleaning following vomit or other bodily fluids, exceptional soiling, confetti or glitter, wax, oil or paint damage, unusually large or unsorted waste volumes, and external installations or hired items left behind.
The lead guest receives a written breakdown and relevant evidence for deductions. Any balance is refunded if costs are below the deposit. Costs exceeding the deposit may be invoiced. The deposit does not limit the group’s liability. Normal wear and cleaning already included in the booking are not charged against it.
A breach of the rules does not result in an arbitrary penalty fee. If it causes damage, extra work, cleaning or other costs, the documented costs may be deducted from the deposit or invoiced.
6. Arrival, departure and access
Bookings with overnight accommodation
Access begins at 14:00 on arrival day. Accommodation must be vacated by 11:00 on departure day. Event and shared areas must be restored in accordance with the booked arrangements by 12:00.
Earlier access for setup, catering, florists, technical equipment or other suppliers must be agreed separately and does not automatically include an additional booking day free of charge.
Events without overnight accommodation
Access and finish times are stated in the quotation or booking confirmation.
7. Cleaning and restoring the areas
Up to 20 people
For Groups & Events, this covers the accommodation and the parts of the event/glamping area included in the booking. Normal final cleaning of accommodation and basic cleaning and restoration of the grounds are included. The group does not need to vacuum, mop floors, clean bathrooms or carry out the final cleaning before the next guest.
Before leaving, the group completes a simple, orderly handover following the departure checklist: wash and put away used items, empty fridges and wipe visible spills, sort waste into the designated bins, remove personal belongings, decorations and externally hired items, strip hired bed linen and place it as instructed, and restore moved furniture, the barbecue, outdoor kitchen and other used equipment as instructed. Remjeng Retreat then completes the final check and prepares the property for the next group.
Full departure service · up to 20 people
Full departure service is an optional extra at SEK 3,500 per stay, available only for Groups & Events/the glamping area with up to and including 20 people. It does not apply to bookings including the Main House/Whole Estate. Remjeng Retreat then handles tasks including washing up, bed linen and towels, and more of the restoration after the stay.
Even with Full departure service, the property must be left with care, safely and respectfully. Collect washing up in the designated place, sort waste into marked bins, remove personal belongings and externally hired items, and report spills, broken glass or damage. Items, washing up and waste must not be left scattered around the grounds.
The service covers normal use. Damage, missing items, exceptional sanitary soiling, confetti or glitter, wax, oil or paint damage, exceptional waste volumes and external installations left behind are excluded and may be charged under section 5.
Groups of more than 20 people
The event and operating fee stated in the current price information or quotation applies to groups of more than 20. It covers additional sanitary facilities, waste capacity, final cleaning and basic restoration of the booked event/glamping area. The group washes up, removes its belongings, sorts waste and restores furniture and equipment as instructed. The fee is separate from the security deposit. Exceptional soiling and damage are excluded.
8. Bed linen and towels
Bed linen and towels are not automatically included. Guests may bring their own or order them as extras. Bed-making can be booked separately. Extras must be ordered in advance; current prices are shown separately from these terms.
9. Nature, music and consideration
Remjeng Retreat is a working countryside setting surrounded by nature, wildlife and farmland. Parties and events are welcome but must respect people, animals, nature and nearby homes.
Normal event and party music is permitted until midnight. Between 00:00 and 02:00, volume must be clearly reduced and concentrated in the main event area. Amplified music must be switched off at 02:00. Guests may then socialise without disturbing music, shouting or other loud noise. Remjeng Retreat may require an earlier reduction for safety, nature, neighbour or regulatory reasons.
10. Children, fire, smoking and alcohol
Children are welcome, but the estate is not specifically childproofed. Uneven ground, changes in level, natural materials, fire pits and other countryside features require appropriate adult supervision. Active supervision is required at Badhuset, the pool, hot tub, sauna and fire areas. Remjeng Retreat provides neither lifeguards nor childcare.
Fires, barbecues and the pizza oven may only be used in designated places, under supervision and following current safety instructions. Use of fire may be restricted due to fire risk, wind or fire bans. Open flames are not permitted inside glamping tents, stretch tents or other fabric tent spaces.
Smoking is prohibited in accommodation, tents, Badhuset, the Orangery and other buildings, and near fabrics and fire-sensitive areas. Guests may consume their own alcohol within a private booking where legally permitted. The lead guest is responsible for the group’s conduct and safety. External sales or serving require organisers and suppliers to follow applicable rules and permits.
11. Badhuset
Badhuset is best suited to groups of up to 15 people. For groups of 16–25, booking may be possible only by agreement and after assessing the intended use. Smaller groups and separate times or sessions can be discussed and must be approved by us before the booking is confirmed. Badhuset cannot be booked for events with more than 25 people. This capacity limit also applies if the group is divided into smaller groups or separate sessions.
No lifeguard is provided, and the pool area has no dedicated child-safe gate. Glass must not be used near the pool or hot tub. Heavily intoxicated people should not use the pool, hot tub or sauna. Remjeng Retreat may restrict use for safety, operational, weather or capacity reasons.
Access to toilets and showers as an overnight guest does not automatically include access to the pool, sauna and hot tub; these must be included in or added to the booking.
12. Pets
Pets are welcome by agreement. The dog fee is stated in current price information. Owners must bring their own protective covering and supervise their dogs, clean up and collect droppings. Dogs must not lie directly on beds, sofas or Remjeng Retreat’s fabrics.
Dogs may be off-lead in suitable areas under full control. Pets must not be left unattended if there is a risk of damage, disturbance or distress. Extra cleaning and damage may be charged.
13. External suppliers and installations
Caterers, florists, photographers, DJs, musicians, hire companies and other suppliers are welcome by agreement. The lead guest must ensure they receive the property’s rules. Suppliers are responsible for their own staff, equipment, insurance and any permits.
The placement, assembly, anchoring and connection of tents, furniture, technical equipment, cooking facilities, bars and decorations require approval. Remjeng Retreat may stop an unsafe or unsuitable installation.
14. Parking and transport
Park in designated places. Entrances, roads and access for emergency services, deliveries and operations must not be blocked. Parking and transport for larger events are planned together with Remjeng Retreat. Car-sharing or group transport is recommended.
15. Weather, nature and glamping
The organiser is responsible for planning for the season and weather and is advised to have a weather plan. Wind, thunderstorms, extreme rainfall, fire risk or other conditions may restrict certain areas, tents, fires, equipment or activities. Safety decisions must be followed. Normal or seasonal weather does not automatically entitle guests to a refund.
Glamping accommodation consists of comfortable tents in nature, not hotel rooms. Temperature, wind, the sound of rain, birds and insects are natural parts of the experience. Guests should bring clothing suitable for the weather and season.
Nearby shooting range and hunting
A shooting range near the property is operated by others, not Remjeng Retreat. When shooting takes place, distinct and sometimes loud gunshots may be heard on the estate. Sessions may occur during the season and sometimes last approximately one to two hours with breaks. Remjeng Retreat does not control the range’s days, times or session lengths and cannot guarantee quiet during a particular stay. Contact us before booking an event for which uninterrupted silence is particularly important.
Hunting may take place in nearby forests in autumn, particularly from October. Guests must respect ongoing hunting and follow any safety guidance for staying or walking in the area. We share what we know but do not control when hunting or shooting occurs.
16. Liability, damage and insurance
Guests must follow safety rules and use the property responsibly. The lead guest must pass the rules to the group, and responsible adults supervise children. Guests are responsible for damage caused by themselves, their children or suppliers through negligence, misuse or breaches of the rules. Normal wear is excluded.
Remjeng Retreat is not responsible for accidents or damage arising when a guest disregards safety rules or clear instructions, uses something without permission or exposes themselves to an obvious risk. This does not limit liability under mandatory law. Suitable insurance is recommended.
17. Keys, codes and private areas
The lead guest is responsible for issued keys, codes and other access. Guests may only access areas included in the booking. Private, locked and closed spaces must be respected. Lost keys or equipment may be charged at actual replacement cost, including necessary security measures.
18. Failure to follow the rules
Remjeng Retreat may intervene in breaches of safety rules, the law, participant numbers or other important booking conditions. Where circumstances permit, the group is first given an opportunity to correct the problem. Activities may be stopped immediately in cases of immediate risk. Serious or repeated breaches may require a person or group to leave. Documented costs may be charged.
19. Extraordinary events and problems
For events beyond Remjeng Retreat’s reasonable control, such as government decisions, serious natural events, major fire or prolonged disruption to society, the parties first seek a reasonable solution through rescheduling or adjusted arrangements. If the booking cannot go ahead, payments are handled according to what can be delivered and the requirements of mandatory law.
Remjeng Retreat is in the countryside. Temporary power or water outages and technical faults affecting pumps, the pool, hot tub or other equipment can occur despite careful maintenance. Report faults as soon as possible. We investigate and try to remedy them promptly, explaining what works and what solution is possible during the stay.
A brief outage does not automatically mean the entire booking must be cancelled. If an important part of the booked arrangements cannot be delivered, the parties should assess a reasonable solution based on the extent and duration of the fault, such as a repair, alternative arrangements or a reasonable price reduction where appropriate. This does not limit the guest’s rights under mandatory law.
Report problems during the stay as soon as possible so Remjeng Retreat has an opportunity to resolve them. Problems discovered afterwards should be reported in writing within a reasonable time. Both parties must limit damage and consequential loss.
20. Photography, filming and drones
Private photography is welcome. Material shared with Remjeng Retreat will not be used in marketing without express permission. The person sharing it is responsible for permission from identifiable people. Professional or commercial productions and drones require prior approval.
21. Swedish law and disputes
The booking is governed by Swedish law without affecting mandatory consumer rights. In a disagreement, the customer should first contact Remjeng Retreat so both parties can try to resolve it together.
If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved, the consumer can check whether it can be considered by the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN). ARN is an impartial public authority that considers disputes between consumers and businesses.
